This is the calendar board we start out our day with during "circle time":
I slapped this together in a few hours on January 1st, so it wasn't as "pretty" as I had envisioned it to be. But it's functional! It includes calendar, days of the week, months of the year, ABCs, 100s chart, yesterday/today/tomorrow, a ruler for measuring, weather cards, and a few spots to hold pages and songs regarding the theme of the week. We sing the days of the week song, and the months of the year song.
Em doing a snowy day clip the right number snow-tray from here.
A "snowball scooping" tray for Eliz: sort by size and by color.
Matching 2-part cards for Em.
Boggle Junior is a great phonics game!
Putting together opposite puzzle cards.
Practicing handwriting!
And the highlight of this week: CVC blending in her word "house"! I was SO proud of her - she was able to read the whole list of words!
We are using Happy Phonics (along with Explode the Code) and loving it.
And lastly, we are reading out of THIS awesome book every night.
The kids LOVE it. Can't recommend it any more highly!
